HISTORY

Almost 35 years ago, after two centuries, the Bagnarol family changed direction, and Elia, Daniele, and Valter began developing high-tech, sustainable viticulture methods that have naturally evolved into organic farming.

We started by converting and dedicating a few hectares of land to cultivation, a challenge that soon became the backbone and entire basis of our business.

TODAY WE HAVE MORE THAN 170 HECTARES IN FRIULI

From the beginning we combined technology and traditional viticulture because, from a young age, we have always been curious about and attracted to using cutting-edge machinery.

This is our strength.
Today our greatest desire is to export our company’s philosophy, thereby creating a means of looking towards a sustainable future with positivity.

The custodians of Mr. Bio’s knowledge, Daniele and Valter, founded this project upon their vast experience.

Valter Bagnarol – owner and viticulture manager.


Valter is our outdoorsman – observing and looking after the vines daily, he delivers the best produce to the cellar with help of cutting-edge technology and in complete accordance with the environment.

Daniele Bagnarol – owner and oenological manager.


Daniele
is our cellar man – surrounded by technology that he uses to transform the grapes into an intense, genuine and satisfying wine, in full accordance with the fruit and environmental sustainability.

The growth of our vineyards is thanks to: Luciano’s genius, Egidio’s assuredness, Fabio’s reliability, Matteo’s precision, Andrea’s seriousness, Alessandro’s calmness, Raffaele’s unpredictability, Sandro’s sweetness, Astrit’s amiableness, Roberto’s vivacity, and Bekim’s Balkan spirit. And of course we can’t forget the helpfulness and precision of our secretaries Oriana and Consuelo.

OUR TERRITORY

An enological history is written in the soil of our vineyards, which extend across the banks of the Tagliamento and among the ancient woods of Piancada.

Very different characteristics, perfectly matched with the varieties cultivated, whose essence is translated into sensations.

The Tagliamento’s alluvial gravel adds minerality and structure to the wine and the vines’ roots reach deep below the surface.  

A sea breeze guarantees the integrity of the Piancada grapes and tempers the bouquet of the wine with thermal excursions and salty notes.

Our choice to produce organically is testimony of how we perceive our surroundings.

Respect for the territory is the basis of our profession.

Mr. Bio’s wines have a simple elegance, a gustatory cleanliness that perfectly brings out the Friulian territory. Understandable to all palates. They are democratically genuine in flavour and content, simply refined in appearance.
